Third suspect in shooting which killed 10-year-old girl in Carter County arrested

A third suspect in a shooting which killed a 10-year-old girl Tuesday has been arrested, according to the Carter County Sheriff's Office.

Jediah Shane Glover, 20, and Jason Bryan Barber II, 18, were previously arrested and were arraigned in court Thursday.

All three men are facing the same charges: first degree murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

“We want to thank the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Elizabethton Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the District Attorney’s Office, and all the citizens who reached out to us with information,” Sheriff Dexter Lunceford said. “We greatly appreciate all the help we received.”

Glover and Barber are both being held in the Carter County Detention Center on a bond of $930,000. Scalf's bond has been set at $900,000.

The sheriff's office added that these are all of the suspects in the shooting which occurred on Blevins Road.

Two men have been arrested following a drive-by shooting that killed a 10-year-old girl early Tuesday morning in Carter County, according to court documents obtained by News 5.

The affidavit stated on October 31, a shooting incident happened in the 100 block of Blevins Road. During an argument, a male victim was shot.

On November 17, a second shooting happened on Blevins Road at 5:30 a.m. when a 10-year-old girl, Lillyhanna Davis, was shot and killed. The affidavit says during the shooting, 21 rounds were fired into the residence.

"This was targeted, they were shooting at specific individuals," said Sheriff Lunceford at a press conference on Thursday.

Lillyhanna Davis was killed after she was shot in the head. Investigators determined Jason Barber,18, and Jediah Glover, 20, were suspects.

"She was asleep on the couch, minding her own business,  not bothering anybody and she was hit by a bullet and killed," said Lunceford. " I don’t know how you recover from that, being a parent."

Barber was previously in custody for another shooting that happened in the county on November 13 and admitted to participating in the shooting. He stated to investigators that he was in a vehicle accompanied by Jeddah Glover and Zachary Scalf.

Barber stated the shooting was planned and carried out as revenge for the October 31 shooting.

The District Attorney's Office beleives the case will move quickly.

"They’ll go to general sessions court and they will be given a preliminary hearing at that point, and once the preliminary hearing is conducted Judge Bowers will decide if there is probable cause to bind it over to criminal court," said Assistant District Attorney, Matt Roark.  "They are entitled to a preliminary hearing within 14 days of arrest so it will be coming up here quick."

They are both scheduled to appear back in court on November 30th.
