4 children hospitalized after being shot in Winton Hills

CINCINNATI —

Four kids were taken to the hospital on Saturday after a shooting in Winton Hills, police said.

The shooting took place around 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Kings Run Drive.

Police said four juveniles were transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victims' ages range from 12 to 15 years old.

Officials said all of the victims are expected to be OK.

Neighbors in the area say they are very shaken up by the shooting.

"These are kids that I know for sure, that don't do nothing wrong, these are good kids," Ronell Harris said.

There is no suspect information at this time.

"I don't know if it was a random act or targeted but just the fact the kids are out that age range. Kids should be able to play safely. It is concerning those acts of violence are occurring in their neighborhoods," District 5 investigator David Sprague said.

More information to come out of this later this afternoon.
