Black owned social media platform on the frontline of #BlackOutDay2020

By now you've heard of #BlackOutDay2020 or maybe this is your first time. On July 7, 2020 people of color and others supporting the movement will not spend a single penny unless its with a black owned business. This movement quickly grew with recent police killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks and Ahmaud Arbery whom was murdered by father and son Gregory and Travis McMichaels.

Calvin Martyr started the #BlackOutDay2020 movement and gained momentum when rapper T.I. showed support for the cause and the Facebook group reached over 1 million members within a month. Martyr has done a great job with keeping the group informed on next steps with the movement and sometimes goes LIVE to give words of encouragement.

The new social media platform BlackOut Party supports the #BlackOutDay2020 movement and plans on organizing many more boycotts until all demands are met. BlackOut Party is black owned and encourages the entire Black community to join. "Facebook is not for us and never has been" said Mr. Black Power, founder of BlackOut Party. "With Facebook's new terms and Zuckerberg's support for Trump it was time for us to launch our own. We don't feel welcomed and our data may not be safe", said Mr. Power.

"We are more than a social network. We are an underground black political party. We can control the election. It's time for our people to unite and demand America to be fair", said Mr. Power.
