Harvey Weinstein Accused of Rape By Four More Women in New Lawsuit

Convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein, 68, has been accused by four additional women of rape.

New York Court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter confirm a new lawsuit filed by four women who allege the producer sexually assaulted them between 1984-2013.

One accuser says she was raped by Weinstein in 1994 and was only 17-years-old at the time.  She was looking to break into the entertainment industry and was recruited by one of Weinstein’s associates “under the guise of doing business.” The day of the incident, she met with the “disgraced mogul” for what she thought was a meeting, but upon arrival, Weinstein was already naked. He made sexual advances, which she rebuffed, but he “forced her to remove her clothes” and raped her.

Weinstein forced the accuser to give him her driver’s license and threatened her if she told anyone what happened. According to her, he told her he would make sure she was unable to act in any films and would have his associate track her down and physically harm her and her family, Hollywood Reporter says.

The second woman, 70, claims she was raped in 1984 while in Cannes, France. She was visiting the area during the Cannes Film Festival and went to a meeting with a friend who worked with Weinstein in foreign sales. Documents report that the mogul took her to his suite at the Hotel Barriere Le Majestic in Cannes and “pinned her against the suite’s front door,” and then proceeded to assault her sexually. Similar to the first accuser’s story, the sexual predator threatened her to keep quiet before letting her leave.

The friend she attended the meeting with also felt she should remain quiet about what occurred out of fear they would be “blackballed” from the industry.

The third accuser reports she was raped in 2008 at the age of 26. Unlike the first two, she was “scouted” by Weinstein himself while the two were at Cipriani’s in New York City. Weinstein reeled her in by promising he would “connect her with powerful players” that could take her career to the next level. She agreed to a business meeting at his Soho apartment, where he threatened that she couldn’t leave “unless she did what he wanted.” He then raped her and, similar to the first two accusers, threatened her. He told her he would ruin her career if she made mention of the incident, Hollywood Reporter reports.

The fourth accuser claims she was raped at the age of 28 in 2013. She met Weinstein at the Venice Film Festival. She met with Weinstein and his secretary for dinner a few months after their introduction, and from there he invited her to his hotel room, she accepted his offer and went to his room with her friend. Somehow he convinced her friend to leave shortly after, once gone, he began to expose himself to her and forced her to perform oral sex on him. She as well confided in her friend and decided to keep it a secret out of fear of reprisal.

Fox News reports Bob Weinstein, Miramax and Disney are also listed in the suit. The accusers claim they “knew or reasonably should have known that Harvey Weinstein had a propensity to engage in sexual misconduct and would use his position and power to lure Plaintiffs and other similarly situated aspiring female actresses to his apartments, hotel rooms, offices, etc. under the guise of discussing business opportunities to sexually harass, batter, assault, falsely imprison and rape them.”

He has been accused of rape and sexual assault by more than 100 women. A New York court’s jury of 12 men and women convicted Weinstein in February for rape and sexual assault. He is now serving a 23-year prison sentence at Wende Correctional Facility in Erie County, New York. He is being held in isolation custody after two inmates tested positive for the coronavirus.
