ViacomCBS Plans For New Streaming Service; Expected to Carry Shows From Comedy Central, MTV, VH1 & More

Are you ready for yet another new streaming service?

ViacomCBS is planning to expand its streaming offerings with a brand new service, which is expected to be an extension of CBS All Access.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the service which is expected to launch in late February would carry shows from brands like Comedy Central, Paramount Network, BET, MTV and CBS News, among other offerings.

The CBS All Access platform was launched in 2014 and has been led by original programming from the “Star Trek” franchise as well as scripted dramas like “The Good Fight” and a modernized reboot of “The Twilight Zone.”

The new Viacom streaming product is expected to include news and sports along with with scripted and unscripted content as well as Paramount Pictures movies, which up until now were being leased to other streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
